COMPANY DESCRIPTION

Alfred is a neighborly coffee shop that originated in January 2013 on charming, tree-lined Melrose Place. You can visit one of our six locations throughout Los Angeles, including our first-ever Alfred Tea Room.  Our friendly baristas will serve you delicious coffee and tea beverages made to order, as well as fresh pastries, sandwiches, and salads.

We are looking for amazing baristas to join our team at the Alfred Tea Room!

JOB DESCRIPTION

Barista:

  • You have a knack for making people smile and creating memorable experiences. You love working with a team and thrive in a hustle bustle environment! You are proactive by always preparing for what’s next… cleaning, stocking, and openly communicating what you need to your managers.

  • As a Barista you will work with your co-workers to provide the best experience possible for each of our guests…crafting quality beverages and anticipating guests’ needs. You will effectively complete opening/closing duties and adhere to Food & Safety guidelines. You are the face of Alfred and it is your goal to be the happiest part of our guests’ day!

Requirements:

  • Food Handler’s Certificate
  • A love for TEA!

COMPENSATION

This position is PAID: hourly, under $15/hr

Jordan G. Hardin

Jordan G. Hardin has spent most of his life working in the food and beverage industry; in the kitchen, as a waiter, as a bartender, and as many more. A native of Northern Idaho, he studied Film in New York City, then moved to Los Angeles to write. After 7 years working in tea, he currently serves as Beverage Director of Alfred Coffee and Alfred Tea Room, and as Editor in Chief of World of Tea. In the meantime, he reads, writes, eats, drinks, and polishes up original screenplays with his best friend.
